Step 1. Meet with our SmartLink consulting experts

Step 2. Be Ready with the required documents.

You have to be prepared with the necessary documents to utilize our service.

SmartLink might require you to submit certain document forms, which each government requires.


USA ACE Sea / ISF : 1. Fill out the registration form of USCBP 2. A copy of the US Customs bond issuance certificate 3. A copy of NMFTA SCAC issuance certificate 

Canada ACI(eManifest) : 1. CBSA-issued carrier code 2. The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Application form.

Japan AFR : 1. NACCS-issued reporter ID & password 2. NVOCC code( for NVOCC)

Step 3. Complete and submit the SmartLink application form.

If your application has been submitted, the SmartLink group will review your request and reply back with an E-Mail regarding your approval request within a few business days.

Step 4. Review your application and the submitted documents

The SmartLink group will look through your application form and documents word by word. Then we will contactthe relevant government offices or your partners. This process will be take a few business days.

Step 5. Get started in using SmartLink

Once the SmarLink Administration group approves of your application, you will receive a response. Then, you will be able to begin using the SmartLink service for your business.

The Verified Gross Mass (VGM)
The verified gross mass means the combined weight of the container tare weight and the weight of all cargo, including packaging and dunnage and it's new regulation which was enter into force from July 1, 2016 by the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Amendment.
The ‘Shipper’ named on the ocean Bill of Lading are required to submit the verified gross mass of their packed containers prior to loading to ocean carrier.
